Q1: What hardware and software will I need to view the website?
You'll need a PC with a Pentium 233Mhz processor or higher, and at least 128MB RAM and a 56Kbps Internet connection or faster to view Ocean Park's website.
The Ocean Park website will run on Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Windows Vista (Chinese or English). You'll also require an internet browser, preferably any version of Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or Firefox 2.0 and above, to properly view the site. The latest version of Internet Explorer is available as a free download from Microsoft's website. We do not recommend the use of beta browser versions.
If you are using Windows XP Service Pack 2, you must enable pop-up windows from the Tools menu of Internet Explorer.

Q2: I'm a Macintosh user. Will I be able to run the website?
Yes, Macintosh users are able to access the Ocean Park website. If you're using OS X version 10.4 or later and either Safari 2.0 or Firefox 2.0 and above, you'll be able to browse the site.

Q3. How do I determine the version number of my browser?
Open your browser. Click on the Help menu and select About Internet Explorer or About Mozilla Firefox to check your browser's version number.

Q4. What can I do if my web browser frequently hangs?
First, check to see if your Internet connection is working, stable and that you are able to browse other websites. You'll also want to check if your PC meets our recommended minimum hardware requirements.
Are you currently running lots of other applications apart from your browser at the moment? If you are, you may want to consider turning some of these applications off. If these steps are unable to solve your problems, you may need to contact technical support for your PC.

In order to view Chinese characters properly, please make sure that you are either using a Chinese version of Windows XP/Vista, or the English version of Windows XP/Vista with a Chinese-language platform installed that enables you to view or process Chinese characters. In Internet Explorer, you can also try clicking on View > Encoding and selecting Unicode (UTF-8).
