E&M Safety Campaign

The E&M Safety Campaign is the result of a collaborative effort between the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department of HKSAR and leading organizations from various trades in promoting and educating the community in electrical & mechanical safety as well as energy efficiency. Since 2007, Ocean Park actively participated in the Campaign as one of the collaborating organizations to promote the amusement rides safety tips in riding to the community.

The E&M Safety Carnival, a two-day outdoor carnival, is the core activity of this annual Campaign. In 2010, the Carnival was held at Sha Tsui Road Playground, Tsuen Wan, New Territories. In addition to an interactive game booth, Ocean Park also hosted an exhibition corner to share the amusement rides safety information with the public.

Ocean Park also specially exhibited an environmental friendly, liquefied petroleum gas powered vehicle at the Carnival. Through this exhibition, we educated the public on pollution and encouraged them to adopt a green lifestyle. The “Animal Q&A” also introduced different animals and their fun facts, raising public awareness on animal conservation.
