Ocean Park has always been concerned about environmental issues and has actively participated in various types of environmental protection activities. In support of this year's United Nations World Environment Day, Ocean Park teamed up with Lark Films Distribution Ltd., UA Cinemas, and TVB to host a special screening gala on the evening of June 5th, 2009 at UA Megabox. The purpose of the event was to spread environmental awareness through action. For the first time ever, 《HOME》 was released on all media formats (movie theatres, TV, DVD, and the Internet) in 87 countries worldwide on World Environment Day.

《HOME》 is a 15-year project, with creator Yann Arthus-Bertrand travelling to 54 countries in one and a half years. The film takes us on a sensational journey above planet Earth and provides us with an unusual portrait of our planet. Planet Earth is critically ill from human impact, but a brighter future is possible if we all decide to write it together. After watching the film, it is hoped that the audience will continue to spread the message of environmental conservation.

At the special screening gala, attendees included a number of Ocean Park's management representatives as well as key business partners. During the screening ceremony, Deputy Chief Executive of Ocean Park, Mr. Matthias Li, said, "As long as every one of us makes an effort towards energy conservation, waste reduction, and sustainable use of resources, there is no doubt that our present bleak conditions will be improved drastically ─ because「our HOME depends on you」!"
