The Centralian rough knob-tail geckos are one of the largest geckos in Australia. They have very short tail that can be used to store fat.
When these geckos are in danger, they will raise their bodies, arch their backs and emit a raspy call to warn the predator. They can also drop their tails like the other geckos. However, the regrown tails will not look the same as the original.
