Ocean Park Summer Splash Headlined by Asia’s First LINE-themed Water Party 10 COOL Attractions Transform Waterfront Plaza into Fun World of Water Over 60 LINE Merchandise Debut in HK Exclusively at LINE FRIENDS Pop-up Store

(25 June 2015, Hong Kong) With the mercury on the rise, Ocean Park Summer Splash 2015 will help everyone quench the summer heat from 1 July to 30 August. In addition to the Park’s over 80 attractions, this year’s Summer Splash will feature 10 COOL attractions, to rock the summer with every guest! Collaborating with the wildly popular messenger app LINE, Ocean Park is presenting the LINE Summer Fever, Asia’s first LINE-themed Water Party, where guests can experience Soaker Swings, a brand new summer attraction; Mega Bucket, a must-visit photo opportunity; the ever-popular, 3-storey high Slide Racer; Wild Foam Party; Water War and Dancing Fountain. Guests can also snap fun summer memories with Brown, Cony, Moon, as well as James, who will make his debut appearance in Hong Kong at LINE FRIENDS Snapshots and LINE Play Zone. LINE fans will also have a choice of over 60 merchandise items, all available in Hong Kong for the first time, at the LINE FRIENDS Pop-Up Store near the Ocean Express Waterfront Station. On top of the LINE-themed attractions, the kid-limited attraction Happy Splash Time and the energetic dance show Summer Rhythm are set to offer guests a galore of cool grooves.

A series of special edition LINE sound stickers were launched just a week ago, our LINE corporate account followers have increased over 160,000, from 710,000 to more than 860,000 in total.”

10 Major COOL Attractions Brings Guests a Unique Summer Party Experience
Popular LINE FRIENDS décor will appear at every corner in Aqua City and The Waterfront of Ocean Park in this year’s Summer Splash. LINE Summer Fever, a unique LINE-themed Water Party in Asia, will be staged at Waterfront Plaza, waiting to cool every guest down with plenty of wet attractions. Soaker Swings is one of the new Summer Splash attractions that let guests revisit childhood memories while cooling off the summer heat as they pass through a water curtain. Mega Bucket provides one of the hottest photo opportunities for guests to capture the moment when the overhead giant water bucket dumps water on those standing underneath.

The 3-storey high Slide Racer, especially popular among young people, will once again offer guests the most exciting experience as they hurtle down at a high speed. Guests can also hit the disco at Wild Foam Party with foam raining from above to fuel the fever. Energetic guests can also start a water battle with their friends at Water War, while guests of all ages can boogie to the colourful lights and rhythmic water columns in the Dancing Fountain at the centre of LINE Summer Fever. At Happy Splash Time in Whiskers Harbour, kids will have a blast as they wade in foam and immerse themselves in exciting water play.

Those who wish to take snapshots with LINE FRIENDS should not miss the LINE FRIENDS Snapshots and LINE Play Zone. At LINE Play Zone, guests can pick one of the five themes and then shoot a short video of around 5 to 10 seconds with their friends in front of the camera. LINE FRIENDS will join in and interact with the guests during the shooting, guests can watch the video by sending a serial number to Ocean Park’s LINE account (ID: hkoceanpark) and share with friends immediately. LINE FRIENDS will showcase their summer new looks on their first visit to Ocean Park and take pictures with guests in front of the colourful underwater-themed photo backdrop.

Exclusive LINE-themed Merchandise and Delicacies for LINE Fans
After having a wild time, guests can shop for the Park’s specially designed T-shirts and put them on before starting another exciting journey.  Guests can also visit the LINE FRIENDS Pop-Up Store near the Ocean Express Waterfront Station for adorable LINE merchandise. Available in Hong Kong for the first time will be more than 60 retail items, including T-shirts, stationery, umbrellas, bottles and LINE Rangers plush dolls.

Ocean Park has specially prepared LINE-themed summer menus. Aqua City Bakery will be decorated with LINE décor to serve LINE cupcakes, cookies and iced chocolate that look as great as they taste. Guests can savour LINE adult or kids’ set meals at Neptune’s Restaurant and take photos with the LINE-themed aquarium, or pick up a LINE bento box at Panda’s Café during a day of summer fun at the Park.

Other COOL Offers and Promotions
Starting 5 July till 25 July, LINE users who have added the “summersplash” official LINE account and sent a message with the words “Summer Splash” will receive an e-scratch-card to participate in the LINE X OP Summer Lucky Draw*. Prizes include two round-trip tickets from Hong Kong to Japan, LINE 50cm high plush dolls and Ocean Park admission tickets.

To further boost the summer fun, popular YouTuber To Siu-kiu will also partner with veteran actor Gregory Rivers to transform into Cony and James for a TV commercial for this year’s Summer Splash. The TV commercial will be available for viewing online on 6 July and will start airing on TVB channels on 8 July.

Ocean Park is also partnering with SHISEIDO and Goldfish Biscuits to offer guests summer skincare products and tasty snacks. At Whiskers Harbour, guests can say CHEESE in front of the camera and receive tasty surprises from Smile Snap with Goldfish and experience the WetForce power of SHISEIDO’s waterproof sunscreen at SHISEIDO’s 3D Suncare Eye Trick Photo Experience.

In addition, Ocean Park will launch a special offer during Summer Splash. From 1 July to 30 August, guests purchasing or renewing their SmartFun Annual Pass will get a set of “Ocean Park Dining & Shopping Coupons”, including cash and discount coupons for restaurants, game booths and souvenir shops.
