Ocean Park Halloween Bash Po Leung Kuk Charity Preview Night New fear formula takes Halloween to scary new heights!

2008-09-26

(Hong Kong – 25 September 2008) The 8th Ocean Park Halloween Bash kicks off with the Po Leung Kuk Charity Preview Night – no guest is spared as more than 350 ghosts terrorise the Park with an all new fear formula!

Joining hands, the Tai Pan of Terror – aka Ocean Park Chairman Dr. Allan Zeman - and Po Leung Kuk Charity Ambassador for the Mentally Handicapped, Ms. Myolie Wu (胡杏兒), hosted a spectacular wedding ceremony today to kick off the Charity Preview Night. They took their vows in front of the Queen of Fright, Miss Luna Midnyte, with a plethora of guest ghouls in The Demon Wedding Ceremony that featured Hot-as-Hell music and devilish dancing produced by renowned concert producer Mr. Kam Kwong Shing. The couple spent their first night in Hong Kong’s most cursed public estate – the Estate of Horror and chose their own dreadful adventure out of three elevators that lead to different floors! In addition to the duo, over 4,000 guests came to the Preview Night, including donors and beneficiaries from Po Leung Kuk, as well as business partners, and members of the media.

Dr. Zeman said, “Only Ocean Park has Hong Kong’s best, biggest and scariest Halloween celebration. This year’s fear formula taps into our city’s rich seam of myths and legends to bring a totally new and truly interactive experience. Ocean Park is Halloween – and we are delighted to support Po Leung Kuk and our community.”

“Ocean Park has been the trailblazer in Halloween entertainment since 2001 and our guests have come to expect the unexpected from us – so you’d better get your tickets while they’re still available to avoid being disappointed because this year’s Halloween Bash takes Halloween to scary new heights!”

Flexing its creative muscles for the 8th annual Halloween Bash, Ocean Park redefines horror using a new multi-sensory Fear Formula. With 8 completely new haunted houses, 9 show titles with more than 40 petrifying performances, and 350 ghouls and goblins, Ocean Park is the place to be.

Test your courage with a new audio-visual experience at The 4th Dimension and The Canton Case. Be a voyeur at the Deadly Doll Factory where guests’ terror unfolds right before your eyes! Take in a Behind the Scene Tour to see the magic behind the horror as Ocean Park reveals the secret of its scary success and opens up the backstage of two haunted houses. With this tour, guests can take a backstage look at Blue Girl  presents: Ghastly Entertainment City, a complex that will leave its inhabitants at the mercy of mischievous guests, and at the Estate of Horror - guests will need to choose the 3 elevators and go through various frightening flats to reach safety!

Fight your way through an ancient terracotta army at Sony Digital SLR Camera presents: The Tomb of Doom or put your green thumb on the line at the Gruesome Greenhouse. Get immersed in a spine-chilling experience at Yahoo.com.hk presents: Nightmares of the Bamboo Theatre. Finally, for the very first time, you can revisit the iconic characters over the past 7 Halloween Bashes by walking down the Hall of the Dread!

The Ocean Park Halloween Bash can be enjoyed through a variety of combination offers such as the Monster Mash Party Combo*, which includes a Halloween make-over service; a horror-some dinner at the Bayview Restaurant or The Terrace Café; and unlimited quick-track access to all haunted attractions.
