2006-09-29

(Hong Kong – 28 September 2006) Bravehearts in Hong Kong are advised to quickly grab the telephone or log onto www.halloweenbash.com.hk to book tickets for one of Hong Kong’s most awaited and talked-about events, the Ocean Park Halloween Bash, which officially opens tomorrow (29 September). Tickets are selling fast. Those who think they know what they are in for will be pleasantly surprised as Ocean Park ups the ante with the debut of the delectable Luna Midnyte, who is the winged queen of the 200 ghouls and goblins roaming about Ocean Park. Six new haunted zones await those who dare to enter, while spirits of the night lurk in the five scary zones to greet passers-by and share our Halloween spirit.

Popular artist, Eason Chan, and Ocean Park chairman, Allan Zeman, joined Luna Midnyte, who is also the hostess of the SCAREmonies show spectacular, as they proclaimed the launch of this annual event in full fanfare.

The other five haunted attractions that are spread across the Lowlands, the Headlands, and the Tai Shue Wan areas include Tortures of Chinese Hell, School of the Damned – presented by Kinder Bueno, Alien Invasion - 3D – presented by Pringles, SCREAMatorium – presented by Energizer and Courthouse Massacre.

Ocean Park will also feature Haunted Mine Ride in its Whisker’s Wild Ride multi-media simulator theatre, and entry is included in the price of park admission.

Other than whetting the nocturnal appetite of the teenagers, young adults and the young-at-heart for the macabre, this year, Ocean Park is also looking after the toddlers and the pre-teens. Continuing with annual tradition, children coming to the Park’s Kid’s World in the day time will have the opportunity to experience a medley of Halloween rituals. The Scarecrow Maze challenges even the whiz kids, while the Inflatable Spooky House bouncer is bound to unleash their endless energy. There is also an interactive learning corner, the Witches and Wizards Academy, where budding young artists can learn hat-making crafts. In addition, children can play Trick or Treat throughout the Park’s Kid’s World. To the delight of all, Kid’s World will remain open during Halloween Bash hours.

“All the attractions presented at the Ocean Park Halloween Bash were developed and produced in-house by our talented staff, and I am very proud of their work,” Allan Zeman said.

“This year’s Ocean Park Halloween Bash is a party for everyone. Kids can come and enjoy the delightful spirit of Halloween during the day, while at night the city’s brave young people and the young at heart can come, if they dare, to enjoy the endless fright-fest at the Park’s Halloween haunted zones. As with everything we do, this year we will again extend real value for money to our guests. Our gate admission offers guests unlimited access to all six haunted zones and Whisker’s Wild Ride. And all our regular mechanical rides remain open. That’s right, one pass, one night of endless entertainment for all!” he said.

“Tickets are selling fast. All Privilege Tickets and Privilege Dinner Combo are already sold out. Book your tickets now. Be there, or be square,” Allan Zeman added.

The Ocean Park Halloween Bash party takes place every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays between 29 September and 31 October, from 5.30pm to midnight. Kid’s World attractions will commence on 29 September and will run daily through 31 October except the Witches and Wizards Academy which will operate during weekends and public holidays. Don’t forget the Trick or Treat Candy giveaway at Kid’s World.

Night Tickets are available at www.halloweenbash.com.hk, the Ocean Park Main and Tai Shue Wan Entrances; while night tickets only are also available at the Citybus Route 629 terminus at Admiralty, 7-Eleven stores within MTR stations, KCRC Ma On Shan Railway stations, East Rail stations and West Rail stations, respectively.
