2019-04-03

First collaboration with Green Monday to launch new vegetarian dishes

Mark your diaries, for Ocean Park Animal Discovery Fest is back from 19 April to 1 May 2019. Guests can get up-close with Park animals at the all-new “Meet the Walrus” experience programme as well as 13 interactive animal workshops and backstage explorer tours. For the first time ever, Ocean Park’s Veterinary Centre will be open to the public to allow guests to better understand the wide array of animal ambassadors at the Park and the work of the Park’s veterinary team.

In addition, the Park is collaborating with Green Monday to introduce a variety of creative and nutritious vegetarian dishes made with plant-based meat boasting incredible meat-like texture and taste, which is highly popular in Europe and the US. Additionally, to promote green living and raise awareness of environmental conservation, a low-carbon Easter Dinner Buffet Fiesta and new eco-friendly merchandise will be available.

All-new Limited-time “Meet the Walrus” Experience Programme
The new “Meet the Walrus” experience programme will allow guests to observe these large-sized marine mammals with prominent tusks up-close, touch and feed them, and even have chance to take a snap together. Guests who would like to learn more about fun facts and husbandry knowledge on the Park’s animal ambassadors, including the adorable kinkajou and the extraordinary steppe eagle, can participate in the Interactive Animal Workshops and Backstage Explorer Tours (see attached table for details). During Animal Discovery Fest, guests can also enjoy 50% off the second seat upon purchase of two seats for the “Dolphin Encounter” programme*, a unique experience for all dolphin-lovers!

Veterinary Centre Special Opening and JC-WISE Water Fun Fest 2019
In commemoration of its 10th anniversary, the Ocean Park Veterinary Centre will be open to the public for the first time. The world-class treatment and clinical facilities will be on display, where professional veterinary and laboratory staff can share some of their experiences working on a diverse range of animals. Stay tuned for more details in mid-April.

Creative Vegetarian Dishes by Ocean Park and Green Monday
