Weather Arrangements

In the event of adverse weather, such as a rainstorm warning or tropical cyclone warning signal issued by the Hong Kong Observatory, the Park will make special operating arrangements. For details, please refer to the following measures under different weather conditions.

For safety reasons, Ocean Park may suspend certain rides and shows during inclement weather. The cable car system may also be suspended subject to wind speeds.

Weather Warnings

Standby Signal No. 1, Amber Rainstorm Signal and Red Rainstorm Signal

Ocean Park will remain open but some outdoor mechanical rides may be suspended.

Strong Wind Signal No. 3

Ocean Park will remain open under normal circumstances but all outdoor mechanical rides will be suspended.

Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 or above

If the Hong Kong Observatory pre-announces the hoisting time of the No. 8 Gale or Storm Signal during Park hours, the Park will suspend on-site admission ticket sales two hours prior to the hoisting time and arrange for all guests to leave the Park.

If typhoon signal No. 8 or above remains in force before Park hours, the Park will delay its opening time. If severe weather persists, the Park may remain closed for the entire day. Please visit Ocean Park’s official website and social media pages for the Park’s latest operating arrangements.

Arrangements for dated admission tickets, products and services will be announced on the Ocean Park website. For dated tickets, products or services purchased from authorised travel agents or sales channels, please contact the relevant party for enquiries.

Black Rainstorm Signal

If the Black Rainstorm Signal is hoisted during Park hours, the Park will remain open with limited service.

If the Black Rainstorm Signal is in effect before Park hours, the Park may delay its opening time and provide limited service upon opening. Please visit Ocean Park’s official website and social media pages for the Park’s latest operating arrangements.
