過酷な極地で生きるホッキョクギツネの謎に包まれた生態を紹介。極寒の環境に適応した短い脚や長くてフワフワのしっぽの仕組みや、夏は灰褐色に、冬は白に体毛が変化する理由も分かります。またホッキョクギツネの行動や、生息地に人間が与えている影響についても紹介しています。
