In celebration of Ocean Park 40th Anniversary, Ocean Park partners with Chinachem Group and 18 district councils to organise the “Ocean Park x Chinachem Group Learning + Fun Day” for the second year. In this programme, 10,000 people from low-income families will be invited to enjoy an edutaining day-out at Ocean Park with complimentary admission from 6 February to 31 May 2017. Participants can also enjoy education activities at our animal exhibits for free. Transportation, meals and other administration expenses are sponsored by the Chinachem Group. To encourage the local community to serve those in need, Golden Age Foundation and The Education University of Hong Kong will help recruit a group of retiree and student volunteers as narrators respectively at Ocean Park’s iconic attractions, such as Grand Aquarium & North Pole Encounter. All recruited volunteers will participate in a series of trainings and workshops, to be arranged and held by Ocean Park’s Education team in January 2017. The interpretation techniques and interesting knowledge about our animals they acquire will help them promote animal conservation messages to participants of the “Ocean Park x Chinachem Group Learning + Fun Day”.
