2006-03-02

(1 March 2006 - Hong Kong) Ocean Park is pleased to announce it will offer half-price day admissions to Hong Kong people with disabilities and one accompanying friend. As the ‘Hong Kong people’s Theme Park’, Ocean Park is committed to being a responsible and caring member of the Hong Kong community.

Beginning March 1, 2006, Hong Kong residents presenting the “Registration Card for People with Disabilities*” issued by the Health, Wealth and Food Bureau will be entitled to enjoy half-price daytime admission to Ocean Park. One accompanying person will also be entitled to enjoy this half-price offer in visiting the Park.

Aside from this discount ticket, Ocean Park has been a keen supporter of the “International Day of Disabled Persons” organised by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service. A total of 50,000 participants have received complimentary admission in the past 13 years for this special event held in November.

"Ocean Park has been providing fun and enjoyment to visitors over the past 29 years, including those with disabilities. We aim to further encourage Hong Kong residents with disabilities to engage in more outdoor activities at the Park, and to take advantage of this concessionary offer to share the excitement with their loved ones.” said Tom Mehrmann, Chief Executive, Ocean Park.

Ocean Park is opened daily, Monday to Sunday. Daytime admission fee for adult is HK$185 and for child is HK$93. For enquiries, please call 2552 0291. Website: www.oceanpark.com.hk.
