Prep for Autumn Adventure 2021

Dear Parents & Rovers,
Getting Ready for Rovers!

Welcome on board! We believe that you are excited about this fabulous adventure. We hope the detailed information below will equip all of you to get ready for the exploration with the best preparation. Please bear with us!

WHAT SHOULD WE PACK?

Essentials  Optional items
  • Backpack

  • Water bottle (around 500ml)

  • Jacket

  • Hat

  • Raincoat (umbrella is not recommended)

  • Face Mask

  • Personal disinfectant products (i.e. Hand sanitizer)

  • Tissue paper

  • Rubbing alcohol

  • Sunscreen

  • Mosquito repellent

  • Sunglasses

  • Personal medication (if necessary) / spare face masks

*If you are joining Rovers (Team Bao Bao), please set up an account at Scratch for programme use.
*Please label all belongings. Every season we end up with lots of unclaimed items. All unclaimed items will be turned into Lost and Found at the end of the programme.

WHAT TYPE OF CLOTHING SHOULD WE WEAR?

Each participant will receive a name badge at the registration and are required to wear their name badges throughout the programme. This allows us to easily recognise them when we are out in the Park with many other visitors.
  • Outfit: Trousers are recommended. Skirts and dresses are not advised. We will be doing all sorts of activities and moving around in the park. Please come prepared to get dirty!
  • Raincoat: The show must go on! We like to get outside, even when it's a bit wet!
  • Footwear: Please make sure shoes are fit-sized and closed-toe. No flip flops – as they will be running and walking long distances. Waterproof boots and a pair of dry socks are good ideas in case of unpredictable weather!
  • Valuables: We won’t be needing them! We won’t be using personal multimedia or recording electronic devices like mobile phones. So why don’t we leave them at home and go explore around!

WHAT FOOD AND DRINKS WILL BE PROVIDED?

  • To avoid taking off facemasks for a long period of time, we won’t be able to schedule snack time.
  • No food or drinks will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bottles and educator can refill their water bottles.
  • No spending money during the programme. Please do not bring money for food or gift shop items.
  • Allergies. If participants are allergic to certain food/objects/animal, kindly indicate the conditions clearly on the application form. This information could help us understand them better and provide any support or assistance when needed.
