Ocean Park Dance Jam Fever

In order to promote street dance culture, Ocean Park will host “Dance Jam Fever” competition next to the Aqua City Lagoon at Lakeside Chill. The competition will have both “individual “and “team” competitions, which will be held at 6:45pm on 15 and 22 September respectively. Each participant aged between 6 and 13 will receive a complimentary Ocean Park daytime general admission ticket and the winner will be rewarded with the special learning experience of “Get Closer to the Animals” programme. Visitors can enjoy free entry to the Park’s Lakeside Chill area from 6:30pm onwards on competition days to cheer for the dancers. *In addition, Ocean Park will organise a professional dance showcase by famous local dance groups and the dance societies of different universities on 29 September night to continue the street dancing momentum.

*Free admission from 6:30pm to 11:00pm. Only Lakeside Chill, Neptune’s Restaurant, Aqua City Bakery and Waterfront Gifts will be opened. Other animal exhibits, thrill rides, attractions and Halloween Fest night event will not be included.

Target Participants:
Dancers who have received street dance training and are aged between 6 and 13.

Date Categories and Winning Prizes
15 September 2018 (Postponed to 6 October) Individual Competition
  • 40 to 50 participants compete in freestyle street dance, with the champion being selected by elimination
  • Individual winner will be rewarded with a “Dolphin Encounter” or “Penguin Encounter” package and three family members worth HK$5,680
#Due to inclement weather condition, Ocean Park Dance Jam Fever Individual Competition on 15 September will be postponed to 6 October.
22 September 2018 Team Competition
  • Eight teams consisting of six to eight participants in each group, with one performance to decide the champion team
  • Each member of the winning Team will be rewarded with a “Meet the Capybara & Tamarin” package with his/her parent worth HK$5,760
