The Park strengthens a series of cleaning and disinfection to safeguard your health.

Safeguard visitors' health:
  • Visitors are required to undergo body temperature check before admission.
  • Face masks must be worn at all areas inside the park (except when dining). 
  • Visitors can access free hand sanitiser at 112 different spots throughout the park.
  • All the air filtration systems are regularly sprayed with GERMAGIC Thyme disinfectant, which was developed by the professionals of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and can kill 99% of viruses and bacteria for a prolonged period of time.
  • Floor stickers are placed in waiting areas to keep a safe social distance.
  • Visitors may reserve up to 6 attractions via the Ocean Park Hong Kong app's "eScheduler" function, and may reserve restaurant tables via THE GULU app, to cut down waiting time at queue line.
 
Ensure animals' health:
  • Disinfection carpets are placed at the entrances of all animal exhibits.
  • Double filtering and UV sterilisation are installed in the air conditioning systems at most of the animal exhibits to maintain good indoor air quality.
  • Daily health checks are conducted on our animals, including respiratory rate checks for penguins and body temperature checks for seals.

Thorough disinfection and cleaning:
  • Nano-photocatalyst antimicrobial coating is applied to major facilities including handles, seats, buttons, counters, escalators and lifts.
  • Intensified cleaning and disinfection of all toilets, baby care rooms and frequently touched facilities surfaces are carried out every 1-2 hours.
  • All tools and teaching materials are disinfected at the game booths, and education classes before reuse.
  • Each night, cleaning teams perform deep cleaning across the park using high-pressure jets.
 
Enhanced restaurant and food hygiene:
  • In compliance with Government’s regulations, tables in all park’s restaurants are set at least 1.5m apart.
  • Before and after daily operation, all food and beverage facilities are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Tableware will not set in advance but presented along with alcohol wipes upon food orders.
  • Following each meal, the table's surface and menus will be cleaned with a specialised disinfectant.
  • To maintain hygiene, all food will be covered before serving to visitors.
 
Reinforced crowd control:
  • Park-wide capacity and capacity of individual rides and facilities will be adjusted. Visitors are required to make online reservation before visiting the park for crowd control management.
  • Alternate-row seating arrangement is implemented at all theatres.
  • Visitors from the same party are not required to share a Cable Car with other passengers.
