Giant Pandas Ying Ying and Le Le’s first Valentine’s Day in Hong Kong

2008-02-14

(Hong Kong - 14 February 2008) Ocean Park Hong Kong’s two giant pandas, Ying Ying and Le Le, celebrate Valentine’s Day with guests.

These two young pandas were gifts from the Central People’s Government of China to the people of Hong Kong to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Since their arrival in Hong Kong on 26 April 2007, they have been staying at the Hong Kong Jockey Club Giant Panda Habitat in Ocean Park, joining the two other giant pandas, An An and Jia Jia, who have been the conservation ambassadors at Ocean Park since 1999.
