Ocean Park is all set to unveil a host of exciting surprises during the Chinese New Year season, including the brand-new regular experiences Neon Lights Up Old Hong Kong and All Star Jam, and a range of delightful festivities that are sure to keep you engaged and entertained.
 
From 10 February to 3 March, visitors can get ready to ring in the Year of the Dragon with Ocean Park Lunar Fiesta 2024 and experience an immersive celebration that showcases authentic traditions.
 
"Ocean Park is an ideal destination for both locals and tourists during the Chinese New Year. The Park’s Lunar Fiesta activities and newly launched regular experiences echo the government’s initiatives to develop distinctive tourism themes and showcase Hong Kong’s unique cultural features,” said Paulo Pong, Chairman of Ocean Park Corporation. “In the coming year, the Park will continue to offer unique edutainment experiences and leisure activities for visitors.”
 
Neon signs light up Ma Pak Leung Presents Old Hong Kong
Come visit this year’s Instagram hotspot Neon Lights Up Old Hong Kong, where luminous neon signs adorn the 80s to 90s streetscape, creating the perfect backdrop for capturing precious memories and indulging in nostalgic snacks.
 
Starting at 5pm every day, more than ten performers will show up on the street to interact with visitors. During weekdays, you can enjoy incredible dance moves at Dance Jam, while on weekends, Dazzling Starlit Street adds extra surprises to your visit with amazing live music performances of popular songs and classic hits. Talented performers will invite visitors to join the spectacular Neon Lighting Show, which takes place three times a day and features vibrant colours and dazzling lights on the street. Also, don’t miss out on the opportunity to participate in the Starlight Bingo Game, where completing designated tasks earns you bingo cards for a chance to win amazing gifts to take home.
 
Witness the rise of Ocean Park’s new superstars
Prepare to be dazzled by the incredible musical talents of Ocean 6N1, the newest band formed by Whiskers and Friends as they showcase their skills and set the stage on fire daily in the highly anticipated All Star Jam at the recently reopened Whiskers Theatre. The show, curated by celebrity show director Jack Lam, features the beloved mascots Whiskers, Bao Bao, Dougie, Fluffi, Justin, Mark and Redd, who will be donning glamorous outfits. The theme songs and choreography have been created by acclaimed musician Chiu Tsang Hei and choreographer Fai Lam to enhance the show experience.
 
Experience an extravaganza of festivities across the Park
But the New Year celebrations don't end there. Welcome the new year with strong drumbeats! Visit the nearly five-metre-tall Fortune Dragon Drums at Waterfront Plaza, where a magnificent golden dragon soars high above, symbolising the aspirations for a remarkable year ahead. Join in the auspicious drumming to generate goodwill and send forth wishes of prosperity in the new year. Throughout the Ocean Park Lunar Fiesta, be captivated by traditional highlights such as meet and greet with the God of Fortune, the Roaring Dragon Dance and the Luck of Lions Dance.
 
Time-limited festive souvenirs and game prizes
Another highlight of the Lunar Fiesta is the limited edition Lion Dancing Panda Shoulder Plush. This auspicious panda plush can be adorned with a lion dance hat, showcasing two adorable styles and enhancing the Chinese New Year atmosphere. Visitors can also look forward to exciting game booths throughout the park for the exclusive festive game plushies and romantic Heart Hugging Hedgehog, just in time for the Valentine's Day.
 
Not-to-be-missed Chinese New Year delicacies
Food enthusiasts can get ready for their feast, as Ocean Park presents a delectable array of Chinese New Year delicacies. From Smoked Salmon – Lo Hei to Abalone with Chicken Fillet in Clay Pot, these dishes symbolise good luck and prosperity for the year ahead. The Aqua City Bakery also offers delightful desserts to sweeten the start of the Year of the Dragon.
 
Extend your journey at Le Petit Prince 80th Anniversary Galactic Voyage
Last but not least, Ocean Park continues to host the popular Le Petit Prince 80th Anniversary Galactic Voyage, allowing visitors of all ages to embark on an enchanting journey with the renowned French character. Amidst the stars, starlight and neon lights, visitors can revel in a joyous Year of the Dragon celebration.

 
Enchanting edutainment for toddlers with CoComelon
Experience the joyous Lunar New Year Toddlers Playground designed for children aged 1.5 to below 3 on 17 and 18 February. In collaboration with CoComelon, little ones can dress up in festive costumes, capture magical moments with CoComelon backdrops, interact with their peers, enjoy interactive singing sessions, and engage in storytelling and sensory play activities.
 
As an added highlight, Ocean Park will be making a special appearance with Whiskers and Friends at the Cathay International Chinese New Year Night Parade. The float will feature signature elements of Ocean Park and Water World, adding an extra touch of excitement and spectacle to the celebration.
