Ocean Park Corporation welcomes the secondment of Mr Joe Wong Chi-cho, Commissioner for Tourism, by the Government to the Corporation for a period of up to six months. Wong will assume the role of Chief Executive of Ocean Park Corporation with effect from 1 May 2021.
Lau Ming-wai, Chairman of Ocean Park Corporation, said, “I am delighted that Mr Wong will provide leadership support to the Corporation as we implement our new strategy for the transformation of Ocean Park. With his profound tourism and economic development experience, management expertise and understanding of the entertainment and creative industries, he is uniquely positioned to bring us strategic perspectives on business and operation remodelling as well as visitor experience innovation.”
The Corporation also announces today the appointment of Ysanne Chan as Managing Director, effective 1 May 2021.
Lau will continue to lead the selection panel for global recruitment of the Corporation’s next Chief Executive.
