Explore what Ocean Park is all about.
Over Two Hundred Exquisite Beers and Gourmet Food together with Music Performances to Amuse Guests at Night Fiesta over Four Consecutive Weekends and Easter Holidays
Ocean Park launches its second night fiesta Drink’N Music Fest 2018 presented by Prudential, bringing ten evenings of great brews, great food and great music over four consecutive weekends from 10 March to 2 April 2018. By purchasing concert tickets or electronic tokens at HK$50 that are fully redeemable for in-park food and beverages, beer-lovers and music fans can enter the Park for free after 6:30pm to enjoy award-winning beers, event-exclusive drinks, gourmet food from all over the world, as well as music performances by the city’s hottest singers and bands.
Lau Ming-wai, Deputy Chairman of Ocean Park, said, “Since we announced the event in January, response has been enthusiastic and tickets to some concerts were more than 90% sold out during the first few days of being put on sale. We look forward to welcoming guests at the awesome shows staged by Hong Kong’s music talents. The fiesta will showcase more than 200 unique food and beverage items for guests to truly indulge themselves in what Hong Kong has to offer as a food paradise.”
Jones Lam, Deputy Chief Agency Officer of Prudential Hong Kong Limited, said, “The event last year was very popular, and we can see that there is demand in Hong Kong for events with high quality food, drinks and entertainment activities. Prudential is delighted to be partnering with Ocean Park again to launch Drink’N Music Fest, a creative evening entertainment event that helps reinforce Hong Kong’s status as an international gourmet and entertainment hub.”
Award-winning and Event-Exclusive Beers and Multicultural Gourmet Food
Professional brewer and Certified Cicerone Christopher Wong agrees that Drink’N Music Fest is very special in its approach and offerings. “Drink’N Music Fest is the first local music event that provides such a wide variety of quality beers and gourmet food for the audience. Ocean Park has put in a lot of effort to curate a new and exciting entertainment experience for their guests.”
Wong specially recommends to guests the “Orange Creamsic-Ale” crafted by Ocean Park and local brewery HEROES BEER CO. exclusively for the night fiesta. Inspired by a recent revisit to Ocean Park that reminded the brewer of his happy childhood and favourite orange ice lolly, this Orange Creamsic-Ale, imbued with a tantalising, succulent citrus flavour and accented by a dash of sweet vanilla, is created to relive guests’ whimsical childhood flashbacks at Ocean Park.
“Another not to be missed highlight would be “Peated Oak Aged Embrasse” from Belgium, a beer carrying whiskey texture. It is matured in peaty Islay barrels for over 6 months. By barrel aging the beer it takes the rich tones of the whiskey and the beer gets a softer and fuller taste.” Christopher continued. In addition, Taiwan's ZHANG MEN BREWING CO has exclusively created a new "Pink Chill (Beertail)" celebratory drink for the event, a sweet and sour beer cocktail is crafted from honey beer, cranberry juice and vodka which is sure to get visitors in a party mood!
Great for pairing with beer, Ocean Park has prepared over a hundred of Asian and international flavours for Drink’N Music Fest. Take friendly and easy-going wheat beer for example, its crisp and sour flavour is best paired with seafood dishes, while the intense and more richly textured black ale pairs especially well with “heavy tasting” meat dishes and cheese. Delicacies prepared by celebrity owned restaurants will also be available, including Edwin Siu’s BURGER B, Maggie Fu’s TRISTAR KITCHEN, KING OF SHENG JIAN by Oscar Siu, and BLESSCUIT by Sharon Chan.
In conjunction with the fiesta, Ocean Park will partner with celebrity chef K.K. Chan Kwok-keung for the first time to present a fine dining menu at Neptune’s Restaurant, featuring contemporary Chinese food with fine ingredients and sustainable seafood.
Twenty Live Shows to Entice Music Fans and Start the Party
For Hong Kong Pop Music Live, two 45-minute concert sessions will be held on each event night to spice up the fiesta. Over 20 local pop singers and bands will present their hit songs to surprise fans. The attractive line-up includes: ToNick, Justin Lo, Robynn & Kendy, Dear Jane, Qiu Hong, Endy Chow, KOLOR, Candy Lo, Yellow!, RubberBand, Kimman Wong, Phil Lam, Mischa Ip, Yoyo Sham, Ellen Loo, Eman Lam, Chet Lam, Chochukmo, Shine, Alfred Hui, Jill Vidal, Chan Wing Him, Jude and Jason Chan.
