Explore what Ocean Park is all about.
Hong Kong’s beloved giant panda ambassadors, Ying Ying and Le Le, are turning 20 years old this month! To mark this special occasion, Ocean Park's dedicated animal husbandry team has once again teamed up with Häagen-Dazs™ to create spectacular icy birthday cakes, filled with their favourite treats!
Ying Ying and Le Le were seen heartily enjoying their bespoke Häagen-Dazs™ icy cakes. These vibrant cakes, specially designed for the panda parents, were lovingly crafted with a delightful blend of their preferred ingredients: sweet potato, carrots, apples, and fresh bamboo leaves. Ying Ying and Le Le's individual cakes also featured large bamboo shoots, the symbols of strength, positive energy and prosperity.
These joyous celebrations serve as a wonderful reminder of the critical role Ying Ying and Le Le play as ambassadors for wildlife conservation. Their longevity and vitality are a testament to the dedicated husbandry and outstanding veterinary care they receive, and Ocean Park's unwavering commitment to giant panda conservation and education.

Visitors may also see Ying Ying and Le Le enjoying birthday treats and enrichment items prepared by their caretakers!
In addition to Ying Ying and Le Le's 20th birthdays, we are also eagerly anticipating the first birthday of panda twin cubs Jia Jia and De De on 15 August, as part of a month-long 'panda-tastic' extravaganza across the Park and the city.
