More than 400 short-term and exciting summer jobs will be available, including retail, F&B, operations, ticketing, safety and security and logistics positions which could be forged into careers that last a life-time.

The employment periods generally last from mid-June to late-August, with 4-6 day work weeks that include Saturdays, Sundays and the eves of public holidays. Hourly wages start at $34 per hour and the number of working hours per day is approximately 8-10 hours on roster. Employees are entitled to a special discount on Citybus route 629. For frontline positions, applicants should enjoy working outdoor and possess an outgoing and pleasant personality along with a guest-oriented mentality. He or she should have good command of English and Chinese, and the ability to speak Putonghua is an advantage.

Tom Mehrmann, Chief Executive of Ocean Park, said, “Each year, we invite a number of short-term staff to join the Ocean Park family to support the park’s operating efforts during summer time. The opening of new attractions such as the Aqua City themed area means even more guests will be coming to enjoy a beautiful summer at the Park this year. Therefore, we are expanding the number of summer job opportunities across different departments to over 400 to ensure the best experience for each and every employee, who will be serving each and every guest coming to Ocean Park. I started my job 34 years ago at a theme park in the USA as a summer job and it evolved into a great career, so opportunities do exist to grow in this dynamic industry.”
