2007-01-24

(19 January 2007 – Hong Kong) Mr. and Mrs.Tee became the first couple in Hong Kong to exchange marriage vows under seven metres of water. Their wedding was witnessed by 3000 exotic fishes at Ocean Park’s Atoll Reef earlier this month.

“Both of us are love to dive and we have always dreamed of having a special underwater wedding. We had considered some famous diving spots overseas, but we decided that the Atoll Reef at Ocean Park is the best. By holding our wedding here, all our friends and relatives could join us and be witnesses to our precious moment. How romantic!” said Mr. and Mrs. Tee

“The underwater wedding was spectacular! We can see our friends and relatives waving to us while we were under the water. What’s best is Ocean Park. They made everything happen smoothly, and all of us were very happy. We would like to thank Ocean Park for their hard work, which enabled us to have such magnificent and unforgettable experiences,” said Mr. and Mrs. Tee

Ocean Park launched seven wedding anniversary packages in November 2005 and these are very well received. To date, over 30 weddings were held at of Ocean Park. The seven wedding packages are entitled, “A Wedding Chorus” – Ocean Theatre, “Commitment California-Style” – Pacific Pier, “Tie a Reef Knot” – Atoll Reef, “Love for Life” – Bird Theatre, “The Train to Happiness” – Mine Train, “The Circle of Love” – Ferris Wheel and “Ocean Vista.” This January, Ocean Park also launched a series of wedding anniversary packages. Guests can also choose Ocean Park to celebrate any occasions, from graduation, birthday, engagements, to retirements.
