Ocean Park Invites Children for Exciting Virtual Adventures at Explorer R this Easter with Free Interactive Programmes

2022-04-07

Ocean Park is bringing the Park’s attraction Explorer R into everyone’s home this Easter with a series of free interactive virtual programmes to be run on live Zoom sessions. To add to the excitement, participants will have a chance to win admission tickets for Explorer R and continue their educational journeys in person when the Park reopens.

New and creative ways to experience nature
From 15 to 16 April 2022, Ocean Park’s education ambassadors will invite children aged two to eight years to explore the nature by virtually visiting the interactive technology experience hub Explorer R to investigate animal features and local biodiversity.

During Storytime: Ninja in Nature, a native English-speaking educator will bring children aged two to three years on a virtual adventure to explore new story worlds. The educator will combine exciting narratives with Explorer R features to introduce Hong Kong’s unique cascade frogs. Participating children can also try making puppets with their parents at home as they learn more about what makes these local amphibians unique and hidden.

The Detective Challenge programme will give children aged four to five years a chance to become curious little detectives. They will join a guided mystery adventure where they can use Explorer R to examine animal body parts at the research desk and search for clues to the lost Golden Observer Tool. Live polls will help participating children decide their next steps. They also will have the chance to virtually follow educators at the Park to search for more clues at various animal habitats and see their beloved animal ambassadors at the same time.

The Voyagers – Animal Adaptation will test children aged six to eight years on their knowledge of Hong Kong biodiversity through a live online quiz. They can also virtually visit Explorer R to try their hand at creating AI SuperAnimals and learn more about local animals that inhabit the territory.
