Ocean Park Receives 3 Yahoo! Emotive Brand Awards The Park also Selected Champion (NGO category) of Yan Oi Tong Plastic Recycling Partnership Scheme 2012

 (Hong Kong, 12 August 2013) For the fourth consecutive year, Ocean Park is recognized by the electronic media community with 3 Yahoo! Emotive Brand Awards. The Emotive Brand Awards, known with the online community as the ultimate honor is organized by Yahoo to recognize companies with excellent brand values and strong emotional bonds with the people of Hong Kong.   Additionally, Ocean Park is crowned as CHAMPION (NGO category) in the Plastic Recycling Partnership Scheme 2012 organized by Yan Oi Tong EcoPark Plastic Resources Recycling Centre.

To select the outstanding brands from 28 industries for the Yahoo! Emotive Brand Awards, Yahoo! Hong Kong assigned Ipsos, a global market research company, to conduct the selection process. The entire local online community was invited to show their support by voting for the nominated brands. Voting was done online by netizens.

This year, a record high of over two million votes were received during the competition. Ocean Park received an award for the Top 3 Best Deals in Hong Kong, the Top 3 Emotive Brand in the Entertainment Category and the highest honor of the Top 3 Emotive Brand Award in Hong Kong.

When receiving the awards on behalf of Ocean Park, Paul Pei, Executive Director of Sales and Marketing said, “As Hong Kong People's Park and well recognized around the world by its recent Applause Award, Ocean Park is honored and grateful to be a recipient of the prestigious Yahoo Emotive Brand Awards endeared by so many in Hong Kong.   We take great pride in the 3 awards and thank the people of Hong Kong for their genuine interest and sincere support of the Park.  The awards solidify our leadership in the market and support our success in reaching the online community. Ocean Park is also proud to be selected as the Champion (NGO category) in the Plastic Recycling Partnership Scheme 2012 organized by Yan Oi Tong EcoPark Plastic Resources Recycling Centre. This honor was provided as a result of a total of 12.7 tons of plastic collected in the Park in 2012.   The plastic was then sorted, shredded and processed for use in manufacturing a number of products.
