Chill Out @ The South 2017: Dining Experience

2017-03-16

Ocean Park today launched its first Ocean Park Chill Out @ The South, presented by Prudential Hong Kong Limited, a culinary event offering a month long all-new dining experience on 19 select evenings between 17 March and 17 April, complete with live music, drinks, themed workshops and shows as part of the Park’s ongoing 40th Anniversary celebrations.

The all-new dining fiesta will be an opportunity to indulge one’s senses and taste some of the finest cuisines and beverages from around the world, whilst experiencing one of Hong Kong’s most popular entertainment spots. With three unique evening themes – All About Sake, Pop & Rock Beer Fest and In Taste of Excellence, Chill Out @ The South will take advantage of the Park’s unique setting on Hong Kong Island’s south side; where guests will be able to relax, eat and drink al fresco in the evening away from the hustle and bustle of central Hong Kong, and take advantage of the MTR’s new South Island Line to get to and from the Park.

Lau Ming Wai, Deputy Chairman of Ocean Park, said, “Hong Kong’s food scene has it all to offer: the restaurants, the talent and an adrenaline-like energy. With the Park having invested over HK$10,000,000 in this month long night food fiesta, now it’s time to help shine a light on the up and coming south side of the Island, by providing a unique al fresco food and entertainment experience for both our local and overseas guests. Chill Out @ The South will not only showcase, and capture, the beauty of Hong Kong’s south side, it will also prove once again that Hong Kong can stand shoulder to shoulder with the greatest food cities of the world and provide an unforgettable experience.”

Anthony Shaw, Chief Officer, Marketing and Customer Service of Prudential Hong Kong Limited, said, “Prudential has been supportive of signature events in Hong Kong. As a close partner, we are very pleased to work with Ocean Park to promote and support a unique, new theme park experience. We welcome visitors from Hong Kong and overseas to taste the finest selection of food and drinks and enjoy an exciting line-up of entertainment by local and overseas artists.”

Food aficionados wishing to attend Chill Out @ The South can enter the Park’s Waterfront entrance after 5:00 p.m. on the selected evenings for just HK$168 and indulge in a wide selection of food and premium drinks while watching a variety of performances alongside the Park’s mesmerizing lagoon side setting, where they can relax and take in the atmosphere during perfect Spring weather.
