2018-10-23

Ocean Park will welcome its first group tours on Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) on 24 October, with groups coming from Guangzhou and Zhuhai in partnership with mainland travel agency GZL and China Travel Service Gongbei Port Guangdong respectively. The Park also announces its collaboration with Kwoon Chung Bus to launch various cross-border bus routes that connect HZMB Zhuhai Port and various cities in Guangdong directly with the Park, offering a more convenient experience to mainland tourists.

Rosalind Siu, Sales Director of Ocean Park, said “The launch of HZMB provides convenient connections between various mainland cities and Hong Kong. The two exclusive HZMB packages launched by Ocean Park enable mainland tourists to travel to and enter the Park at a discounted price, and we expect to see positive growth of the mainland tourist with the launch of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link (XRL) and HZMB.”

Matthew Wong, Chairman of Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings Limited, said “Riding on the launch of HZMB on 24 October, Kwoon Chung Bus partners with Ocean Park to launch various cross-border HZMB bus routes in November, a more convenient way than before to bring mainland guests directly from Zhuhai and various Western Guangdong cities to Ocean Park. We are very optimistic on the sale of the project, and expect it can promote growth in tourists from the Greater Bay Area cities in peak season during Christmas and Chinese New Year.”

In addition to the travel packages that combine transportation and admission tickets, as well as a special ticket for visiting Ocean Park twice in six months, Ocean Park has also set up a Shenzhen representative office and organised series of trade briefings and road shows in China to further step up its promotion efforts in South China and the Greater Bay Area. Together with the opening of the Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel, Ocean Park hopes more visitors from the mainland will come to the Park to get a taste of the home-grown and world-class theme park filled with local elements.
