“Doggie’s Groovy Weekend” Terms and Conditions

For the health and safety of all participants and staff, every participant must meet the following “Rules and Regulations” in order to participate in the programme. Participants must be aware that such programme involves a degree of unpredictability, where quick reactions and strict attention to directions from the Park's staff are essential. If at any time during the programme, any participant is assessed by the Park's staff is not being able to fulfil the following criteria, he/she will be asked to leave the Park and he/she must immediately comply with such directions.

Section A: Rules and Regulations

  1. Participants must have valid Doggie’s Groovy Weekend Event tickets for admission to the event. Other admission tickets including, General Admission Tickets, Birthday tickets, Local senior, Holders of disability card, Complimentary tickets, SmartFun Annual Pass, Unlimited Entry Pass, SumFUN Entry Pass & InFUNity Entry Pass are not applicable for this event. Each participant aged 12 or above can bring a maximum of 1 dog to attend the event. Children aged 3 - 11 must be accompanied by an adult aged 15 or above.
  2. All dog(s) must have been duly inoculated against rabies and be accompanied by a valid dog license issued by Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department. All dog(s) must be implanted with a microchip for identification and must be scanned upon entry.
  3. All dog(s) must be fully vaccinated against common infectious diseases at least 14 days prior to the event, which includes:
    • Canine distemper,
    • Canine parvovirus, and
    • Any such additional diseases as the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department may consider appropriate.
      Participants need to present with proof of a valid dog license and vaccine record on the event day for verification.
  4. Participants should pay attention to the safety of themselves and their dogs, and keep their dogs under control effectively, in order not to cause any loss of dogs, nuisance or danger to other people and dogs.
  5. Participants and their dog(s) are only allowed to stay in designated areas, and this area will also be opened to all guests.
  6. All dog(s) must remain on leashes inside the Park at all times. For dogs over 20kg should be on a leash of not more than 2m in length.
  7. If the dog belongs to either Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Braziliero or a cross involving any of these breeds i.e. the fighting dogs or known as a dangerous dog, muzzle is required and it should be on a leash not more than 1.5m in length.
  8. Participants should bring their own drinkable water and water bowl for their dogs. Participants may also buy bottled water or approach designate food kiosk to refill tap water.
  9. Please keep the environment clean and hygienic, do not allow the dog(s) to foul indiscriminately. Dogs latrines are provided in the Park during the event period, please clean up after use and deposit the excrement in a collection bin.
  10. The Public Health (Animals and Birds) Ordinance (Cap.139), the Dogs and Cats Ordinance (Cap. 167), the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Ordinance (cap. 169), the Rabies Ordinance (Cap. 421) and the Protection of Endangered Species of Animals and Plants Ordinance (Cap. 586), and their subsidiary legislations and all other relevant legislations must be fully complied with at all times.
  11. Ocean Park reserves the right to deny any dog to enter the Park and the admission fees will not be refund if:
    • microchip is not found and/or vaccine status is not clear;
    • the dog(s) is showing signs of illness;
    • the dog(s) is showing aggression toward any dog(s) or person(s);
    • the dog(s) cannot be controlled by the owner or handler.
  12. Please present the QR code/barcode printed on admission ticket at designated restaurants, food kiosks (not applicable at McDonald's Restaurant and Ciao Chow) as E-cash voucher. The designated restaurants and food kiosks may be chartered for private functions and the opening hour is subject to change without prior notice.
  13. Each E-cash voucher can be used once on the date of visit only. The E-cash voucher can be used cumulatively in one single transaction. The difference shall be paid if the redeemed amount is higher than the value of each redemption.
  14. The E-cash voucher cannot be used in conjunction with SmartFun Annual Pass / Unlimited Entry Pass / SumFUN Entry Pass / InFUNity Entry Pass related discounts, credit card discounts, discount coupons and other promotional offers. The E-cash voucher is neither refundable nor exchangeable for cash.
  15. The event may be cancelled due to inclement weather or Government’s epidemic prevention measure and no refunds or rain checks for such occasion. Ocean Park reserves the right on the final decision of the events.

Section B: Enrollment Information

  1. Enrollment Method
    Enrollment can made by via Ocean Park website or In-person at Ocean Park Main Entrance Ticketing Office:
    Due to capacity limitation, enrolment will be on a first-come, first-served basis. An email confirmation will be sent immediately after successful enrolment (please note if the email confirmation has been mismarked as spam). The email confirmation must be presented during admission on the event date. Online reservation is not required.
     
  2. Ocean Park will verify participants name, dogs microchip number, dogs license, dogs vaccine record and confirmation letter on the date of visit.
  3. The selected event date cannot be changed or transferred once confirmed. All payments made are non-refundable.

 Section C: Inclement Weather Arrangement

The event may be cancelled due to inclement weather or the Government’s epidemic prevention measure and no refunds or rain checks for such occasion. Ocean Park reserves the right on the final decision of the events, please refer to https://www.oceanpark.com.hk/en/weather-arrangements for details.
