Ocean Park Conservation Chill Club

Ocean Park is proud to present a new education programme - Ocean Park Conservation Chill Club! The programme is aimed at encouraging Hong Kong youths to organize and participate in conservation events for local iconic species, Golden Birdwing, Green Turtle and Acropora Corals in an innovative way. Through the unique experience at Ocean Park, the youth of Hong Kong can participate in ecological and conservation-related training and gain practical experiences, and to further understand the development of the animal and conservation industry, as a reference for their future career planning.

Ocean Park Conservation Chill Club consists of programmes for Secondary Schools, University students and young adults, and also different conservation activities for all youths.

Secondary Schools

"Ocean Park Conservation Chill Club Student Activity"

Local secondary schools will be invited to participate in the conservation of Golden Birdwing, Green Turtle and Acropora Corals. The programme also encourages students to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired from STEAM-related disciplines in proposing their innovative animal conservation solutions.

University Students and Young Adults

"Ocean Park Conservation Chill Club Ambassador Scheme" and "Ocean Park Conservation Chill Club Marketing Contest 2021"

Youths will be recruited as conservation ambassadors to participate in ecological conservation projects. A competition will also be organised to encourage youths to promote conservation events using their creativity. The best ambassadors and the winners of the competition will have opportunities to participate in overseas eco tour.

Conservation Activities

From October 2020 to June 2021, Ocean Park Conservation Chill Club will launch a series of conservation activities for youths to participate. Through these activities, youths can help to promote animal conservation to the public with their creativity and skills. Details of the activities will be announced on Ocean Park website.
