Ocean Park Conservation Chill Club

11.09.2020
Ocean Park is proud to present a new education programme - Ocean Park Conservation Chill Club! The programme is aimed at encouraging Hong Kong youths to organize and participate in conservation events for local iconic species, Golden Birdwing, Green Turtle and Acropora Corals in an innovative way. Through the unique experience in Ocean Park, youths would participate in ecological and conservation-related training and gain practical experiences, and to further understand the development of the animal and conservation industry, as a reference for their future career planning.

Ocean Park Conservation Chill Club consists of programmes for Secondary Schools, University students and young adults, and also different conservation activities for all youths.

Secondary Schools

"Ocean Park Conservation Alliance"

Local secondary schools will be invited to participate in the conservation of Golden Birdwing, Green Turtle and Acropora Corals. The programme also encourages students to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired from STEAM-related disciplines in proposing their innovative animal conservation solutions.

For details, please visit the Ocean Park Conservation Alliance page.

University Students and Young Adults

"Ocean Park Conservation Chill Club Ambassador Scheme" and "Ocean Park Conservation Chill Club Marketing Contest 2021"

Youths will be recruited as conservation ambassadors to participate in ecological conservation projects. A competition will also be organised to encourage youths to promote conservation events using their creativity. The best ambassadors and the winners of the competition will have opportunities to participate in overseas eco tour.
